Community Sports Coach (Multi-skills)
Initially one year contract (subject to review)
40 hours per week
Salary negotiable
In conjunction with Sport England, the Department for Culture, Media & Sport and Sport Hampshire & IOW, we seek to employ a new full time coach for Basingstoke Gymnastic Club.
Working within the School Sports Partnership the successful candidate will be involved in coaching grassroot multi-skill sessions mainly in local Primary Schools, and a Community Development Programme, coaching in the local community at our Outreach Centres.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic coach who must have excellent organisation, communication and inter-personal skills and possess a Level 3 Club Coach Qualification in gymnastics, you will hold qualification as or be willing to train as a trampoline Coach and a Pre-school Coach. The candidate should have experience of other sports to a high standard and be willing to be trained in multi-skills.
A clean driving licence is required.
The post involves working flexible hours and sessions will take place during the day as well as evenings and weekends and school holidays.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, plus at least two other personal references.
Sport England is managing the Community Sports Coach Scheme with the support of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and other partners, based on the key recommendations of the Coaching Task Force.
