Tumbling

Tumbling has only been a part of Basingstoke Gymnastics Club for 2 years, but has already enjoyed a great deal of success. With over a third of its members being selected for the national squad and a European medal within the team, it would be fair to say Basingstoke Gymnastics Club has one of the best tumbling squads in the country.

Senior Tumblers

At present, there are 6 tumblers in the senior squad. At the 2008 European Championships Allana Penny was part of the Great Britian team that won a team gold in the junior women's category.

The squad are currently preparing for a variety of national and international competitons, with a focus on building for the 2009 World Championships in St. Petersburg. This year alone members of the squad have competed in Denmark, France, Portugal and Bulgaria.

Junior Squad

Our junior squad range from age 6 - 12, and have recently started seeing success of their own. Several members of the squad that are of competitive age are now members of the Great Britian Age Group Squad, and are also preparing for both national and international level competitions. This year members of the squad won 1st and 2nd place at the British Championships, and a silver medal in an open international competiton in Bulgaria.
