Basingstoke Gym Supporters Club

The supporters club is a structured organisation run by a group of volunteers in the form of a supporters club committee. The purpose of the supporters club is to offer support by assisting the gymnastic club where possible, raise money for continued improvements in both gymnastic club equipment and facilities and to organise social events for the parents and families of gymnasts.

One of the most visible roles of the supporters club is to provide catering at all competitions, club championships and the annual gala. During these events other activities are provided such as raffles, sweet sales and craft sales. We also endeavour to open the café as often as possible when gymnasts are training, but this depends on volunteers being available.

In addition to these activities the supporters club also offer non fund raising support in the form of gym marshals, car parking, setting up and dismantling of seating. At the annual club championships a host of games, stalls and activities are organised with the aim of making it a fun day for both gymnasts and their families.

All of these activities cannot be achieved by a committee alone and help is gratefully received from staff, coaches and parents of gymnasts, who willingly give their time or expertise to some of the fundraising activities organised by the supporters club.

Particular areas of help would be anyone able to offer help with catering at events, fundraising ideas, craft/hobby skills and links with companies willing to promote through donation of goods/services.
