What is it?

The season's work, on the floor

The Advanced Showcase is a performance event held at the end of each season, giving BGC's advanced group gymnasts the opportunity to present their competition routines in a live performance setting, in front of an audience, in the club gym, to close out the year.

Unlike a competition, this is a showcase. There are no scores and no pressure, just a chance for gymnasts to perform at their best for an audience of families, coaches, and club members who have supported them throughout the season. It's a celebration of everything they've put in across the year.

The Showcase is open to gymnasts across BGC's advanced groups and typically takes place towards the end of the summer term. Specific details are confirmed each season through the normal squad communications channels.

For gymnasts

A season in the making

The Showcase is the culmination of months of training; here's how it comes together for the gymnasts involved.

01

A full season of training

Advanced gymnasts spend the season training and refining their competition routines alongside squad development. The Showcase is the opportunity to perform those routines in a non-competitive setting.

02

Performing in the gym

The Showcase takes place in the BGC gym. Gymnasts perform in front of a live audience of families and fellow club members, in familiar surroundings, with full coach support.

03

Celebrating the year

No scores, no pressure, just recognition. The Showcase closes the season on a high, giving gymnasts a moment to reflect on how far they've come and look forward to what's next.

Why it matters

More than competition

For advanced gymnasts, the Showcase offers something competition doesn't, a chance to perform freely, for the love of the sport.

Performance without pressure

No judges. No scores. No outcome to chase. Just the gymnast, the routine, and the joy of performing. A rare and valuable experience at the advanced level.

Families get to see it

Competition venues aren't always accessible or convenient. The Showcase brings everything home; families who've supported their gymnast all season get to see the routine, in the gym, up close.

Closing the season right

The Showcase is a moment of collective pride. After months of competition and hard work, it's a chance to finish the season together, as a squad, as a club, and as a community.
