Every term
Regular moments
to mark progress.
These happen every term across the year; consistent celebrations built into the rhythm of club life.
Award Weeks
Every term closes with Award Weeks; gymnasts receive their British Gymnastics badge awards in front of families. From their first Foundation badge to advanced levels, every achievement is celebrated. Dates are published on the club calendar each term.
Recreational Display
Once a term, families are invited into the gym to watch their gymnasts perform a short in-class display, a chance to see the skills being developed and celebrate progress with the whole group. A relaxed, warm occasion that children love.
Talent ID Days
We run Talent Identification sessions every half term and school holiday period (excluding Christmas). Any BGC member can be assessed; coaches identify gymnasts showing the potential to progress into the competitive pathway. Ask at reception to register interest.
Throughout the year
Workshops &
special events.
BGC runs a variety of workshops, socials, and special sessions across the year; skill days, apparatus clinics, sleepovers, and more. These are open to members at relevant levels and announced via the club calendar and newsletter.
Badge Skill Workshops
Focused sessions designed to help gymnasts working towards the next badge level. Small group coaching on specific skills and apparatus, a great supplement to regular classes.
Recreational · AdvancedApparatus Clinics
Deep-dive sessions on a single piece of apparatus; vault technique, bar skills, beam confidence, and more. Run by specialist coaches and open to gymnasts by invitation or booking.
All levelsSleepovers & Gym Jams
Evening and overnight events for older gymnasts; free gym time, team challenges, music, and plenty of fun. One of the most anticipated events in the BGC social calendar every year.
Juniors · TeensAdvanced Showcase
An end-of-season performance for advanced group gymnasts, a chance to perform polished routines in front of a live audience and celebrate the season's work before the summer break.
