About the group
ENERGY, RHYTHM AND PRECISION
Advanced Aerobics is our competitive aerobics programme, running under the British Gymnastics Introductory Aerobic Code (IAC) format, a structured, accessible competition framework specifically designed for club level aerobics performers.
Gymnasts develop choreographed routines set to music in group settings, combining gymnastics elements, aerobic capacity, rhythm, and artistry. Routines are assessed under BG competition rules across group categories.
It's a brilliant fit for gymnasts who love performance as much as skill; the routines are theirs to own and refine, week after week.

Training format
Sessions blend skill development with routine work; gymnasts spend time on the technical building blocks then put them together into the choreographed performances that are judged in competition.
IAC Format
Introductory Aerobic Code is a BG organised framework specifically designed for club level aerobics; the ideal first step into competitive performance.
Groups
Gymnasts compete across group categories. Multiple age groups make IAC accessible for a wide range of gymnasts.
Routine Development
Gymnasts perform standardised choreographed routines combining gymnastics elements, aerobic capacity, rhythm, and artistry, assessed under BG competition rules.
Conditioning & Flexibility
Strength, mobility, and flexibility work runs through every session. It is a core part of the process, building the physical foundations that keep gymnasts safe, powerful, and progressing through their routines.
Elite Aerobics Pathway
Gymnasts with the highest potential are identified for our Elite Aerobics squad via Talent ID, competing at British Championships level.
