About the group
Three disciplines.
One team.
Advanced TeamGym is BGC's entry-level competitive TeamGym groups (micros), for gymnasts ready to move beyond recreational classes and represent the club at events under British Gymnastics TeamGym Levels.
TeamGym is unique among gymnastics disciplines: it's a true team sport. Micro squads of 3 to 5 gymnasts compete together across three components; tumble line passes, trampette and trampette vaults. Judges score on technique, synchronisation, difficulty, and presentation.
Entry is by coach recommendation. Speak to your child's recreational coach if you'd like to know whether they might be ready.

Training format
Sessions focus on the elements that win in competition; clean technique, synchronised team work, and confident presentation under pressure across all three TeamGym components.
Tumble
Three consecutive tumbling passes down the sprung track, each more advanced than the last, judged on consistency and difficulty.
Trampette
Three consecutive Trampette runs, building from somersaults through to twisting elements. Power, control, and shape under pressure.
Trampette Vault
Similar to trampette, three consecutive vault entries from the trampette, showcasing explosive power and aerial flight on vault
Conditioning & Flexibility
Strength, mobility, and flexibility work runs through every session. It is a core part of the process, building the physical foundations that keep gymnasts safe, powerful, and progressing across all three components.
Elite TeamGym Pathway
Gymnasts demonstrating the highest potential are identified for Elite TeamGym Talent ID, competing at regional and national level.
